I'm really not trying to be rude but there are SO SO many people who live on the east coast who are proud to be American and they respect their country. Its not just the midwest/south who have pride in America. (:
I’m very aware of that.. But they don’t necessarily show it the same way that people do in the south or here. I was never trying to disrespect anyone with my response to the first anon. Each area of the country is different.. Everyone is brought up differently, & I was brought up differently than those who live in that area of the country. So my response was never meant to spark a debate… I was just stating my opinion.
To the anon who asked you about Americans who are from "up north": I was born and raised in a town in northern Wisconsin, just about as far north as you can get. I am so proud to be an American, and I know I am so blessed to have all of these opportunities granted to me by the founding fathers. It isn't "northern Americans" who have the problem with being American- it's anyone who wasn't raised to be appreciative. Please don't stereotype.
I promise I'm not trying to be rude or prove you wrong or anything but I come from up north and I know A LOT of people who care about this country. And a lot of people up north are very nice aand respectful. Minnesota has a reputation of being " Minnesota nice". And its your opinion so I'm not trying to be mean I just thought id tell you an opinion from someone who lives up north. Anyways .. thanks for reading this :) have a great day
I was in no way talking about Minnesota or any area around there. I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but I was just stating my opinion. & I didn’t really mean to stereotype all of the north as being pains in the ass. lol. I guess north to me is east coast towards jersey, new york, maryland, etc. (Not trying to tick any of my followers from there off). I’ve just met a lot of people from over there that weren’t the nicest. I guess I consider Minnesota & Wisconsin, etc. apart of the midwest more than I would “the north”.
First of all… When I talk about up north I talk about more like east coast areas. I guess that’s north to me. & my uncle lives up there & has for a long time & he has that east coast, up north attitude. I realize that not everyone up north (wherever that may be to you) is a “pain in the ass” as I said earlier. I think everyone missed the part where I said you have disrespectful people everywhere in our great country.
This is random, but, have you ever noticed the lack of respect and just plain out uncaring attitude northern Americans have for the U.S?!?!?
Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion…
But I don’t think that it’s just people up north that don’t respect our country. You’re gonna find people who could care less about the fact that they’re American all over the country. Yes people up north are big pains in the ass, & can be pretty rude, but that’s just how they are. People where I live aren’t like that. Most everyone around here has respect for our country. Just keep in mind that you’ll find those people who talk bad about our country, & aren’t proud to live here, everywhere.
